BREAKING: Obama Wins Virgin Islands!

This race is officially over: Senator Barack Obama has won the Virgin Islands. Anybody that knows anything about American politics knows that 'As the Virgin Islands go, so goes the nation.' Preliminary results show that Obama received 89.9% of the vote to Clinton's 7.6%, making it likely he will earn all 6 of the half-delegate votes (you read that right...there are 6 delegate entities worth a half a delegate each, thus totaling 3 whole delegates...why, democracy, why?). Reportedly, workers of the Virgin Islands Obama campaign headquarters celebrated by "sipping mimosas" and "joining in the nearest beach dance party."

In other Saturday news, Senator Obama walked away with solid electoral victories in the states of Washington, Nebraska, and Louisiana, while Former Governor Mike Huckabee seems likely to defeat Senator John McCain in all of the day's Republican primaries. This recent surge of victories for Huckabee can only be explained by a growing sentiment among the conservative base of the Republican party that evolution is indeed a total farce......ok, maybe it has more to do with the unbelievably vocal conservative backlash against McCain, but I still think it's possible we may be approaching a 21st century Scopes Trial of sorts, with Huckabee playing the role of William Jennings Bryan and the rest of the civilized country playing the part of John Scopes. Now that I've used American history to mock Mike Huckabee, I think I'll call it a day.

I'd be happy to support Barack Obama for President of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Consider me on board for that one. Yes We Can!

And I thought it was, "As goes Whoopi, so goes the nation".
