Now...I'm F#@&ing Ben Affleck
I wouldn't say it's as good as the Sarah Silverman original, but anything that brings together Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Harrison Ford, a dozen other movie, television, and music figures, and, well...Ben Affleck...is a pretty amazing feat. Like the original, there are certain parts that I can't help but crack up every time I watch this celebrity-infused hilarity: a dramatically crooning Josh Groban, a water-splashing Robin Williams, and, who could forget 'Honk If You're F#@&ing Ben Affleck'.

The Blueprint For Change: 64 Pages of Details
Just in case the details of the Obama campaign weren't presented frequently and forthrightly enough in the extensive policy section of the Obama campaign website...the regularly updated Obama campaign blog...the 18 multi-hour televised democratic presidential debates (make that 20 after next Tuesday)...the dozen or so issue-based democratic presidential forums...the vast multitude of television and print interviews with Senator Obama...the vast multitude of television and print interviews with campaign spokesmen (most often including campaign manager David Plouffe and campaign endorsers Senator Ted Kennedy and Senator Claire McCaskill, and hopefully no longer including the infamous State Senator Kirk Watson, who proves that apparently all politicians from Texas are morons)...the hundreds upon hundreds of campaign events ranging from dinner discussions with voters to town hall Q&A sessions to stadium rallies (with the caveat that most post-election victory rallies are used for celebrating, well, victory, as opposed to presenting 5-point tax plans to 20,000 people fired up after your umpteenth straight primary win)...the immeasurable amount of campaign literature dispersed, campaign emails sent, campaign television and print advertisements run......just in case, I present The Blueprint For Change: Barack Obama's Plan For America, 64 pages of details.Make That 11 Wins Since Super Tuesday

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Barack Obama won the Democrats Abroad global primary in results announced Thursday, giving him 11 straight victories in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The Illinois senator won the primary in which Democrats living in other countries voted by Internet, mail and in person, according to results released by the Democrats Abroad, an organization sanctioned by the national party.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has not won a nominating contest since Super Tuesday, more than two weeks ago.
More than 20,000 U.S. citizens living abroad voted in the primary, which ran from Feb. 5 to Feb. 12. Obama won about 65 percent of the vote, according to the results released Thursday.
Voters living in 164 countries cast votes online, while expatriates voted in person in more than 30 countries, at hotels in Australia and Costa Rica, at a pub in Ireland and at a Starbucks in Thailand. The results took about a week to tabulate as local committees around the globe gathered ballots._______________________________________________________

Ben & Jerry Endorse Barack Obama, Announce New Flavor 'Yes We Can-dy Apple Cream'
Ok, so the new flavor I put in the title of this post is my own amusing creation, but the rest of the story is very much true. Famed ice cream moguls Ben & Jerry have not only endorsed Barack Obama, but they've "lent his Vermont campaign two "ObamaMobiles" that will tour the state and give away scoops of 'Cherries for Change' ice cream". Personally, I like 'Yes We Can-dy Apple Cream' much better, but if I lived in Vermont I'd be just as pleased to indulge in some 'Cherries for Change'.This is easily one of the more hilarious endorsements of the 2008 presidential campaign season, especially considering that a further news story came out reporting that "Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins were unavailable for comment on the endorsement"......kidding, of course, considering Burt Baskin died over 40 years ago (and thank you Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me for that nugget of knowledge).

Uno, The Face Of A New Era
If only Max, my beloved childhood beagle, could have lived to see the day that someone like him would win Best In Show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. We often conversed about how unlikely it would be for our generation to experience such an achievement for the beagle bread. Bravo Uno, you have ushered in a new era of dog show competition for both current and future generations of beagles that will forever bask in the glory of your triumphant victory!Tuesday, February 12, 2008

BREAKING: Obama Wins Virgin Islands!
This race is officially over: Senator Barack Obama has won the Virgin Islands. Anybody that knows anything about American politics knows that 'As the Virgin Islands go, so goes the nation.' Preliminary results show that Obama received 89.9% of the vote to Clinton's 7.6%, making it likely he will earn all 6 of the half-delegate votes (you read that right...there are 6 delegate entities worth a half a delegate each, thus totaling 3 whole delegates...why, democracy, why?). Reportedly, workers of the Virgin Islands Obama campaign headquarters celebrated by "sipping mimosas" and "joining in the nearest beach dance party."In other Saturday news, Senator Obama walked away with solid electoral victories in the states of Washington, Nebraska, and Louisiana, while Former Governor Mike Huckabee seems likely to defeat Senator John McCain in all of the day's Republican primaries. This recent surge of victories for Huckabee can only be explained by a growing sentiment among the conservative base of the Republican party that evolution is indeed a total farce......ok, maybe it has more to do with the unbelievably vocal conservative backlash against McCain, but I still think it's possible we may be approaching a 21st century Scopes Trial of sorts, with Huckabee playing the role of William Jennings Bryan and the rest of the civilized country playing the part of John Scopes. Now that I've used American history to mock Mike Huckabee, I think I'll call it a day.

Who Beats John McCain?
It's with great caution that any head-to-head match-up polling numbers between presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain and potential Democratic nominees Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton should be evaluated (it's pretty clear, not only from past elections but from common sense reasoning, that once each party has it's nominee and once the general election gets under way, the context of the election can really affect exactly who is up and who is down). That being said, the secondary effect of these polls is the perception that one candidate is "stronger" than another candidate, something that can be rather powerful in these kinds of high-profile campaigns. Taking a look at the most recent head-to-head match ups, there's no doubt that the Obama campaign will be shouting these poll results from the highest mountains, or at least during the upcoming debates in Ohio and Texas.Time (Feb 1-4)

Today, I Vote For Barack Obama
Since the early months of 2007, I've followed the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama. Since the summer's end, I've supported Barack Obama. At a rally held in Washington Square Park in the early fall, I listened to a speech delivered by Barack Obama. I've read hundreds of articles and watched countless hours of video featuring Barack Obama. I've engaged endlessly in discussions with friends and family regarding Barack Obama. I've contributed money to Barack Obama. I've spent Saturdays volunteering for Barack Obama. I've agreed with Barack Obama. I've disagreed with Barack Obama. I've been enlightened by Barack Obama.
Today, I vote for Barack Obama.

Maria Shriver In Surprise Obama Endorsement
"Shriver reportedly was waiting backstage wavering over whether she should make her support public, and then finally strode out on stage."
